2020 Reflection

Ministry Leader Learning Cohort — a partnership with Upper House — on the book and video series, The Color of Compromise by Jemar Tisby.

What a rollercoaster 2020 has been.

This year our community has faced significant challenges. And as we look to 2021, many of these challenges persist. Yet even in the midst of so much hardship, there is reason for hope.

The biblical story is ultimately a story of hope. And while we wait for the renewal of all things, we are grateful to witness that hope lived out through the Dane County Church. We saw churches come together to serve our schools, fight to end human trafficking, and move toward racial reconciliation. Numerous churches generously supported the rest and renewal of pastors from OTHER congregations! It is beautiful to see a diverse group of Christians from our community coming together to love others.

Thanks to your partnership,
here are a few highlights from this fall:

  • 6 Rest and Renewal retreats for local pastors in need of refreshment

  • $30,000+ worth of masks and school supplies distributed to schools, churches, and local nonprofit organizations

  • 15 stories told celebrating the good that God is doing in and through the local church

  • 6 Affinity Groups on Racial Reconciliation, Prayer, Human Trafficking, and School Partnerships

As we near 2021, we look forward to continuing our mission. Thanks to a generous donor, your gift will be doubled to help us:

  • Host the 7th annual Kingdom Justice Summit with the theme of Hope

  • Host Rest and Renewal retreats for pastors to reduce burnout and support holistic health

  • Tell stories that shine a bright light on the good God is doing in and through the Dane County Church

  • Bring together Christians from 100+ Dane County churches to pray, share ideas, and unite in service to our community… and much more!

These efforts are united by the goal of bringing people together to further collaboration between churches for the good of our community.
